Franziska is a postdoctoral researcher working with Mzantsi Wakho. She has a BA in Social Work from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Interventions and a DPhil in Social Interventions from the University of Oxford. Prior to working in academia, Franziska worked as a child protection social worker for a local authority in Wales. Her research interest is risk and protective factors for child abuse victimisation and she has been conducting child abuse research in South Africa since 2009.
