Phakamani

Phakamani comes from the Dimbaza township and is based at the King William’s Town office. He works as a Research Assistant/Ezobudoda. His main responsibilities include: interviewing participants, making sure they are comfortable and at ease, as well as referring them to the relevant bodies as necessary. Phakamani loves the fact that Mzantsi Wakho is a community development project where you get to meet a lot of people and it also helps the communities to understand more about HIV. Furthermore, he likes helping communities to become more open in talking about a taboo subject. He would like to study and do more research in the future with regards to development in South Africa.
